Christine

Hospital Manager

Christine joined Cranston Animal Hospital in 2015. A Rhode Island resident since 1992, she attended the University of Rhode Island. Prior to joining the Cranston team, Christine worked in the Hospitality Industry for 25 years with a focus on Hotel Management. She shares her life with her two children, a Beagle named Dusty and Chihuahua sisters, Daisy and Dakota.

Candace - Cranston Animal Hospital

Client Care Representative, Fear Free and TickSmart Certified

Candace joined the team at Oaklawn Animal Hospital in May 2016. She has almost 2 decades of customer service experience and has been hands on working with animals since 2010 in a variety of environments. Candace is TickSmart Certified through the University of Rhode Island. When she isn’t busy doing TNR and rescuing cats, she enjoys spending time with her fiancee hiking and enjoying nature. Her home is shared with her 4 cats, 2 bully mix dogs and assorted small critters.

Client Care Representative, Fear Free Certified

Myrna joined our team July 2018 . She is married with 3 kids. Myrna is an ordained minister and certified as a Reiki practitioner. Myrna enjoys Yoga, Zumba and Martial Arts. She enjoys nature, camping, music and food. Her family has 2 cats, Dawn Eclipse, an iguana, Crash and a leopard gecko, Muffin.

Leanne joined our team in August 2019. She is a lifelong animal lover and avid equestrian, Leanne joined our team with over 15 years of experience with small and large animal veterinary care. Leanne’s hobbies include horseback riding, baking, and cooking. She shares her home with her husband Al, their daughter Ella, Orion the bull mastiff and 3 cats Lilly, Damon, and Nija.

Client Care Representative

Xiomara joined our team in the Spring 2020. She graduated from cosmetology school in 2013 and worked as a beauty advisor in retail for many years, but has always dreamed of working with animals. Other than work, most of her time is spent at home studying and hanging out with her pet rabbit, James Buns. On weekends she spends time singing in a women’s choir. She is looking forward to continuing her education and following her passions.

Jocelin - Cranston Animal Hospital

Client Care Representative

Jocelin joined our team in April 2020 and she has been working in the animal field since 2016. Jocelin graduated from New England Institute of Technology with an associate’s degree in animal business management in 2019. She has experience in veterinary emergency and specialty client care. Jocelin looks forward to learning more about managing wellness and preventative care for animals. She has 5 rescue pets: a dog Benny, a leopard gecko Walter, and 3 birds Luna, Ollie, and Mango. In her free time, Jocelin enjoys hanging out with friends and family and watching movies.

Maria, Technician - Cranston Animal Hospital

Lead Technician, CVT, Fear Free Certified

Maria is our Lead Technician and is Fear Free Certified, and has been with us since 1996. She received her B.S. in Animal Science from URI in 1999, and became a Certified Veterinary Technician in 2006. She is married and has two daughters. She shares her home with 2 cats and 2 dogs. Her interests include spending time with her family, hiking, and cycling. She is also proficient at various handicrafts like knitting and sewing.

Certified Veterinary Technician

Sarah joined our team in March 2019 after graduating from New England Tech. In July 2019, Sarah became a Certified Veterinary Technician. Sarah shares her contagious smile and positive energy in everything she does. Her future goals include completing her bachelors degree and teaching future Veterinary Technicians. In her free time, Sarah enjoys hiking, traveling and spending time with her dog, Rosie, and cats, Sissy and Princess.

Kristina

Technician

Kristina has been part of our team since 2004. She started as an intern while she was in the ninth grade at the Metropolitan Regional Career and Technical Center in Providence, RI. The internship turned into a part-time summer job then a full time career as an Assistant. In 2008 she graduated from a CNA class at Berkshire Place in Providence, but realized that animals are her true passion. In 2014 she was promoted to Technician who has proved her eagerness to keep learning. Kristina has a black and white cat named Hydrox and two dogs: Buddy and Pixie. In her free time Kristina enjoys spending time with her daughter, Rosalie and her family.

Jess - Cranston Animal Hospital

Technician, Fear Free Certified

Jess graduated from NE Tech in 2013 with an Associate’s degree in Veterinary Technology. She has been a Technician for over 5 years and loves every minute of it – especially giving patients extra cuddles and treats to make their visit less stressful. She loves getting to know the clients as much as the patients. In her free time, Jess enjoys cooking, reading and spending time with her dog, Franky and her cat Li.

Sarah Martin, Kennel Assistant - Cranston Animal Hospital

Sarah recently joined the team at Oaklawn Animal Hospital. She graduated from UMass Amherst in 2016 with a bachelors in Biology and Marine Sciences. Sarah enjoys working with and caring for exotic and small animals. She has a yellow-bellied slider, Kenny, and two rescue kittens, Ollie and Bailey. Sarah is also currently attending Veterinarian Technician school for certification.

Jordan - Kennel Assistant Cranston Animal Hospital

Assistant, Fear Free Certified

Jordan joined the Cranston team in August 2017. Although, she dreams of one day becoming a technician, as a new mom, Jordan spends her free time with her beautiful daughter.  She also lives with her two cats, Lilly and Jax and her rescue pup Halani.

Jessica joined our Oaklawn and Cranston Animal Hospital family in June 2020. Jessica is looking forward to learning more about Fear Free methods in working with our patients. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her son, Zayden and Chihuahua, Princess. Jessica also enjoys hiking, discovering new places and trying new foods.
