Dr. Alison Elias
Dr. Elias received a DVM from the Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine after completing a clinical year at Purdue University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2001. She then worked as an associate and staff veterinarian in clinics in Ohio, and in 2006, she completed an Emergency and Critical Care Internship at Iowa State University.
She served as a locum veterinarian at the Qatar Veterinary Centre, Doha, Qatar, until 2014. Dr. Elias has worked as an associate veterinarian in Rhode Island and in Australia, and she served as medical director for Pets In Need providing subsidized veterinary care for pets belonging to families in financial need until 2017. Dr. Elias also worked as an associate and relief veterinarian at various clinics in Rhode Island, as well as at Greencross Vets, Ballarat, Victoria, Australia, in 2019.
At Cranston Animal Hospital, Dr. Elias’s focus is on surgery and treating exotics. She is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association and the Veterinary Emergency and Critical Care Society.
When not traveling the world and working, Dr. Elias enjoys obstacle course racing, scuba diving and sailing.
